Aracy’s Friends

A core program at Hopkins School that connects selected students with patients at Cheshire Fitness Zone.

Aracy’s Friends is an arts and crafts enrichment program involving high school volunteers who visit weekly with children in a variety of therapeutic settings. It was created and sponsored by the Belchers, a Hopkins Family.

Two students from Hopkins School are carefully selected to offer fun interactions with children who are receiving various types of medical care for two academic years. To date, Aracy’s Friends has served hundreds of children.

Olivia’s part in Aracy’s Friends

Olivia joined Aracy’s Friends in 2025 as a junior. The program seemed like a perfect fit for her as an artist and crafter.

Every Tuesday, she goes to Cheshire Fitness Zone for 3 hours to do crafts with the patients and their siblings. She has made so many new friends there and built a community of little artists.

She is truly honored to be part of Aracy’s Friends and making a true impact on the lives of many young children.
