Hop DIY is more than just a school club. It’s a movement to bring creativity, connection, and confidence into the lives of students and our community. Founded at Hopkins School, HOP DIY is a space where students come together to learn hands-on crafting skills, share ideas, and discover the joy of making something from scratch.

At our meetings, students get the chance to explore fun and practical DIY projects, from decorating journals and making friendship bracelets to designing seasonal crafts and building small accessories. Every project is meant to be both creative and approachable, showing that with just a few supplies and some imagination, anyone can create something beautiful and meaningful. We fundraise for local charities about education for children by selling baked goods and crafts that we’ve made as a club.

But Hop DIY doesn’t stop at school. We also take our projects into the community, visiting local libraries, after-school programs, and community spaces to teach kids and teens outside of Hopkins. These outreach events create opportunities for younger students to engage with art, build confidence, and feel proud of what they make.
