Making Healthy Food More Affordable and Accessible
In 2023, 13.5% of U.S. households experienced food insecurity, affecting 47.4 million people, including 13.8 million children. For many families, the barrier is not food availability; it is affordability and accessibility.
CommonTable is an app designed to help young families and couples access healthy, affordable food in the midst of rising grocery prices and increasingly busy lifestyles. While many households want to prioritize nutrition, they are often constrained by limited time, tight budgets, and fragmented access to discounts.
Our platform brings grocery and restaurant savings into one centralized, easy-to-use app. By combining real-time discounts, budget-friendly recipes, and personalized recommendations, CommonTable helps users plan ahead, shop efficiently, and make healthier choices without adding complexity to their daily lives.

CommonTable began in Babson Summer Study.
Olivia led her team of four to create CommonTable. From there, she competed in Conrad Challenge using this idea and was recognized as a Conrad Innovator.
Now, she is competing in the AI Innovation Olympiad: AI for Business competition. She has already won a second prize regional award and will be at MIT this fall for the final round.
